West Pecan Farm is located in Telephone Texas, about 90 miles northeast of Dallas on the Red River. We have over 5,000 pecan trees that were planted in 1970,capable of producing over 100,000 pounds of papershell pecans. We grow Wichita, Caddo, Ideal, Cheyenne and Cape Fear varieties.
We opened our retail Pecan store in Wylie Texas in December of 2008. The Pecan store is open year round. We sell pecans in shell (seasonal), shelled pecan halves, pecan pieces, and candied pecans. We also provide onsite Pecan Cracking and Shelling services. We are located at 1903 North State Hwy 78 in a storefront at Windmill Storage Facitility on the East side of Hwy 78 near Walmart.
We also raise Black Angus cows for organic natural beef. Our cattle are pasture raised along with supplemental grain. Unlike USDA-graded supermarket beef, we use no hormonal growth stimulants, appetite enhancers or antibiotics. We think that it is unnecessary and potentially harmful to give drugs to healthy animals. We prefer them to be raised the "old-fashioned," natural way. Beef that is naturally raised and aged longer, produces beef of fine quality and tenderness normally only available in rancher's homes, or at fine restaurants. Our naturally tender, healthy & flavorful Black Angus Beef can be butchered locally and sent to your home. Orders for freezer beef can be placed for a whole or a half. We will then take the animal to an inspected, certified meat processor. You will be responsible to communicate with the meat processor to decide on the different cuts and processing details on your order. You will be notified when your order is ready for pick-up.
